We had a bipartisan victory for EMS workers on the frontlines last week when Governor Wolf enacted Act 10, which will deliver $25 million in funding to help our Ambulance and Rescue Squads. Earlier in the week, I voted yes, and this legislation passed unanimously in the state House. I am pleased to see us come together in a bipartisan manner to help EMS companies battle COVID-19. Leanne Krueger, D-Delaware, announced today state grants awarded to support local fire and emergency medical service companies. “These brave men and women run toward dangerous and many times life-threatening situations to keep us safe, but many of our fire and EMS companies are short-staffed and underfunded,” said Krueger. “I’m pleased to see these vital organizations receive this state funding. Krueger applauds $62,000 in state funding to keep schools safe

(Jan 25, 2022)

HARRISBURG, Jan. 25 – State Rep. Leanne Krueger, D-Delaware, announced today the Pennsylvania Department of Education has awarded more than $62,000 in Safe Schools Targeted Grants to Wallingford-Swarthmore School District and Notre Dame de Lourdes School. “Keeping our students safe while they are at school is a top priority,” said Krueger. “Parents should not have to worry about the safety of their children when they send them to school. I’m proud to support grant programs like this one that help our schools invest in equipment and programs that will protect the lives of all students.” Wallingford-Swarthmore School District was awarded a $25,000 equipment grant. Notre Dame de Lourdes School will receive a $21,589 equipment grant and $15,856 program grant. The equipment grants can be used to assist schools in security planning. They can be used to purchase metal detectors, protective lighting, surveillance equipment, special emergency communications equipment, electronic locksets, deadbolts and theft control devices and training in the use of security-related technology. Krueger announces more than $475,000 in funding for park projects

HARRISBURG, Dec. 30 – State Rep. Leanne Krueger, D-Delaware, today announced $475,200 in Community Conservation Partnership Program grants to develop or rehabilitate three different parks in the 161 st Legislative District. “Improving and creating green spaces is an important investment in the future of our community,” Krueger said. “These are safe and clean spaces for everyone to use.
