HARRISBURG, June 1 – State Rep. Leanne Krueger will hold two Property Tax/Rent Rebate assistance events at her office in June. The Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program offers eligible Pennsylvanians money back on rent or property taxes paid. On Tuesday, June 21 and Thursday, June 23, residents can call Krueger’s office at 610-534-6880, and a staff member will be available to check the status of their 2021 rebate or get help filing the application. No appointments are needed. “This event is to offer assistance to residents who still need to complete their applications,” said Krueger. “I’m glad to be able to hold these events and hopefully make the process easier for residents.” The Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program benefits eligible Pennsylvanians 65 or older, widows and widowers 50 or older, and individuals with disabilities 18 or older. The income limit is $35,000 a year for homeowners and $15,000 a year for renters, and half of Social Security income is excluded. The maximum standard rebate is $650, but supplemental rebates for qualifying homeowners can boost rebates to $975. The application deadline is June 30, 2022. HARRISBURG, April 21 – State Rep. Leanne Krueger announced a $1 million grant has been awarded to Nether Providence Township for a sidewalk installation project. The grant was among 64 projects awarded funding to improve transportation alternatives and enhance mobility and public accessibility across the state. The funding will help Nether Providence Township install a 0.25-mile sidewalk along Providence Road, from Mother of Providence School to East Rose Valley Road. “This is great news for Nether Providence Township. I’m pleased to see funding support work to improve pedestrian safety along a busy stretch of road in our community,” Krueger said. The state awarded a total of $54.1 million through the Surface Transportation Block Grant program Set-Aside or Transportation Alternative Set-Aside.
